Wrinkle relaxers work their magic a bit differently than dermal fillers. While fillers “fill in” fine lines and wrinkles, wrinkle relaxers like Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau help fight the signs of aging by reducing the activity of treated facial muscles.
All of these products contain the same active ingredient: a safe botulinum toxin that helps to correct so-called “dynamic wrinkles.” Dynamic wrinkles are those formed by underlying facial muscles, such as those commonly found on the forehead or between the eyebrows.
The botulinum toxin found in Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin temporarily reduces the activity of underlying facial muscles at the site of the injections. They act as a nerve block, so that brain impulses do not reach the treated muscles.
Forehead Lines
30 MINUTES
Reduce or prevent the appearance of those pesky moderate to severe forehead lines with Botox injections. Your skin will look smooth and rejuvenated as wrinkles and lines are treated.
Frown Lines
30 MINUTES
Often called worry lines, frown lines are vertical lines that appear between the eyebrows. Your forehead muscles contract as you furrow your brows, creating these lines. Botox treatments are the most popular way to smooth these lines.
Crow's Feet
30 MINUTES
Crow’s feet are small annoying little lines etched around the outer corners of the eyes. You can smooth those lines for wrinkle-free skin and a youthful appearance with a few quick Botox injections!
Bunny Lines
30 MINUTES
Bunny lines are those wrinkles on your nose that appear when you scrunch it. A quick injection of Botox can help to fade these lines quickly, leaving behind smooth and beautiful skin.
Jawline Slimming
25 MINUTES
The masseter muscle, the muscle that is used for chewing, can be injected with Botox to slim the appearance of your face. As a result of the Botox, the muscle will shrink, resulting in a slimmer face.
Hyperhidrosis
30 MINUTES
Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition involving excessive sweating. Botox work to temporarily disrupt nerve impulses sent from the brain to treated sweat glands, effectively stopping excessive sweating. Although your symptoms will gradually return, you can undergo routine treatments to help you manage your condition effectively.
Gummy Smile Reduction
20 MINUTES
A gummy smile or high smile line can make you feel self-conscious. A gummy smile occurs when someone smiles and raises their upper lip to an extent that they show a lot of the upper gum. When you are not confident with your smile it is tough to feel confident about your facial features. This is a popular treatment for patients who do not want a gummy smile anymore. A small amount of Botox can be administered to reduce/relax the amount the upper lip pulls, resulting in less upper gum being shown when smiling. Botox injections can be combined with dermal filler treatment of the lips to provide the ultimate result!

Botox, Dysport and Xeomin: Similarities and Differences
All three products are injectable forms of the botulinum toxin that can be used to temporarily minimize the appearance of wrinkles on the upper face that can give away your age. They offer you a fast and convenient way to restore, or maintain, a more youthful appearance. They all work by disrupting neurotransmitters in your facial muscles, which allows them to relax and smooth your skin.
The main difference between the products comes down largely to their molecular weights, which has an effect upon how the products disperse after injection.
Generally, Dysport requires more units than the other two products, but offers faster, natural results and is less expensive per unit. Although Botox and Xeomin take a bit longer to work, fewer units are needed to achieve the same results. All three products last for a similar amount of time.
The three products have somewhat different times before results are noticed. Onset of results for the various products are typically:
Dysport
24 hours
Xeomin
Four days
Botox
72 hours
These time periods are just for onset of results. Keep in mind that after this time period, all three products provide full results within a week or two.
Additives
Xeomin contains no additives. The only ingredient is botulinum toxin. Both Botox and Dysport have complex proteins included with the botulinum toxin. These proteins have an effect on the diffusion of the products. For example, Botox tends to remain more near the site of injections, while Dysport is more diffusive.
Length of Results
Nothing lasts forever, and wrinkle relaxers are no exception. They typically began wearing off in about three or four months. Many patients prefer to go ahead and schedule a follow-up treatment with Beauty Lush Med Spa at that time so that there is no noticeable gap between their treatment sessions
